Fired DeKalb chief: Bikers, pickup driver targeted him

Former DeKalb County police chief Terrell Bolton, who alleges DeKalb CEO Burrell Ellis was just out to get him when Ellis fired him last year, now claims a gaggle of motorcyclists targeted him this week on a Dallas, Texas, tollway.

Bolton said the motorcyclists sped up behind him, and one squeezed up beside Bolton’s pickup truck and hit his rear-view mirror, causing about $500 damage, The Dallas Morning News reports. Meanwhile, Bolton said, the driver of a nearby pickup truck made an offensive hand gesture.

Ellis fired Bolton last year about a month after taking office for, among other things, assigning himself a veritable fleet of county cars — including two luxury vehicles seized from drug dealers — then ordering an underling to falsify department records to cover it up.

In May, Bolton asked Decatur police to arrest Ellis and others for false imprisonment prior to his termination last year.

Remember: It’s not paranoia if they’re really out to getcha.
